Since it’s been 90 degrees all week, Christmas is the last thing on my mind…lol! I have purchased 5 of the new stamp sets, but the Sweet Gingerbread bundle gave me more options than the other 4.
Gingerbread in our house is Pepparkakor (Swedish Gingersnaps) since my mom’s family is Scandinavian so I combined these two ideas and came up with my blog card.
The Scalloped Contours die set was used because it added the gingerbread trim effect. I cut the main piece from the Balmy Blue DSP, added white cardstock cut with the snow mound die from the Gingerbread House dies that was also cut with the largest Scalloped Contours die and lines them up. I chose Pear Pizzazz as the card base because I wanted a calm feeling.
The rest of the card just kind of fell into place after I had stamped & die-cut a bunch of the pieces of this set. The recipe for the cookies needed a pocket so I stamped a bunch of the gumdrops in multiple colors to add to the effect. I finished the card off with some Wink of Stella on the roofs & trees.
