Mystery Card 10-02-2022

On Facebook Live on October 2, 2022 we ventured through the clues to make the following cards. I always try to make something easy & quick to show my fellow crafters that it doesn’t have to take an hour to make 1 card. Next Mystery Card on Facebook Live is November 6th at 7pm.

Supplies:

  • 1 of cardstock 5 ½” x 8 ½”
  • 2 of 5 ¼” x 1 ⅞″ strips of Designer Series Paper
  • 4 of 3″ squares of white or vanilla cardstock
  • 1 of 3 ¼” square of white or vanilla cardstock
  • 1 of 3 ½” square of coordinating cardstock
  • 1 of 4” x 5 ¼” of white or vanilla cardstock
  • Tear & Tape or Stampin’ Seal +
  • Trimmer/Scorer
  • Stamp Set with images and sentiments
  • Coordinating Ink
  • Embellishments if desired

Directions:

  • Score the large piece of cardstock at 2 ⅛″ on each side and fold to meet in the middle (This fold makes a traditional gate fold card with a slight gap in the middle)
  • Adhere the 5 ¼” x 1 ⅞″ strips of Designer Series Paper to left & right flaps of card front
  • Score two of the white squares at 1 ½”, fold in half
  • Using tear & tape or strong Stampin’ Seal, put 2 lengths of tape on each side of the folds on top
  • Attach one of the flat squares to ½ of one of the folded squares
  • Attach the other folded square to other ½ side of that flat square
  • Attach other flat square to other halves of the folded sides (it will look a pinwheel)
  • Adhere 3 ¼” square of white or vanilla cardstock onto 3 ½” square of coordinating cardstock then stamp image or adhere die cut on the top
  • Adhere stamped assembly to pinwheel assembly
  • Stamp or adhere die cut to 4” x 5 ¼” of white or vanilla cardstock then adhere to middle inside of card
  • Slide assembly over your card front, making sure the edges of the gate fold card fit right inside of this.
  • Embellish as desired
Front slides up & off
Pinwheel looking, card sides slide into each side
