Mystery Card 11-06-2022

On Facebook Live on November 6, 2022 we ventured through the clues to make the following cards. I always try to make something easy & quick to show my fellow crafters that it doesn’t have to take an hour to make 1 card. Next Mystery Card on Facebook Live is December 4th at 7pm.

Supplies:

  • 2 – 6” x 6” pieces of different DSP that coordinates with each other (you may use same DSP if flip side coordinates)
  • 2 – 11” x 8 ½” pieces of coordinating cardstock for card bases
  • 1 – 11” x 8 ½” piece of coordinating cardstock can be white/vanilla)
  • 4 – Medium to Large size banners
  • Sentiments for Banners
  • Large Punch or Paper Trimmer
  • Coordinating ink pad
  • Adhesives of choice (I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue & Stampin’ Seal)
  • Embellishments of choice
  • If desired for inside of cards:
    • 1 – 11” x 8 ½” white/vanilla cardstock
    • Sentiments and/or images for the inside

Directions:

  • Cut both card base cardstocks in half to make 4 – 8 ½” x 5 ½” pieces, then score at 4 ¼”
  • Cut single coordinating cardstock into 4 – 5 ¼” x 4” pieces
  • Put the DSP’s together & cut at 5”, then cut 5” pieces to 5” x 3 ¾”, then cut 1” piece to 5” x ½”
  • Arrange 1 – 5” x 3 ¾” piece on 5 ¼” x 4” piece of coordinating cardstock centered, then arrange 2 of the 5” x ½” pieces centered on either side using the opposite DSP, adhere in place, then repeat doing the opposite
  • Take the 2 – 5” x 3 ¾” pieces and put them back-to-back, then punch or cut each corner, repeat with other 2 pieces
  • Arrange 1 – 5” x 3 ¾” cut-out piece on 5 ¼” x 4” piece of coordinating cardstock centered, then arrange the opposite DSP cut-out semi-circles in the cut-out areas of each corner, adhere in place, then repeat doing the opposite
  • Adhere each assembles front to the front of the folded card-base
  • Adhere stamped banner to front of card & embellish if s=desired

INSIDE:

  • Cut 11” x 8 ½” white/vanilla cardstock into 4 – 5 ¼” x 4” pieces
  • Stamp inside sentiment and/or images on each of the pieces & adhere to the inside
