Christmas Blog Hop

Christmas is a season of hope. Many people have a hard time during the holiday season and don’t always feel celebratory. The card I created centers around giving such people peace and know that even if they feel lost, there is hope. As one of the sentiments from the Lighthouse Point stamp set says, “Your light shines brighter than you know”.

The card base of Tahitian Tide is 11″ x 4 ¼” with a piece of 5 ¾” x 4 ¼” scored at ½” attached on the bottom with Tear & Tape. I wanted a trifold card, but the height of the lighthouse required it to be taller. I experimented with the piece on the base of the card that keeps the card front propped with the bottom of the lighthouse, some rocks and what I ended up with.

The deckled rectangles were used throughout the card, I felt it softened it a bit. The front piece of white cardstock was colored with a blending brush and Tahitian Tide ink. The Joyful Flurry stamps were inked up, stamped off then randomly stamped on all 3 white pieces. I finished off the card by putting Wink of Stella on all the snowflakes.
